Welcome to Flats in Folkestone

FOR SALE: Flat 6 at 30 Grimston Gardens CT20 2PX

"Flats in Folkestone" is a personal web site that has been set up in an attempt to sell our flat in Folkestone direct to prospective buyers without using a local estate agent.  Our aim is to simplify and, hopefully, speed up the flat searching, viewing and buying process through direct contact between ourselves and prospective buyers.  This property will not be advertised on the popular property web sites such as Rightmove.  So, if you have found your way to this web site and you are seriously interested in buying a nice flat in the west end of Folkestone, you may already be one step ahead of other prospective purchasers.  Feel free to look through the information contained in these pages and please do not hesitate to contact us by e-mail or telephone if you have any questions or if you would like to view the flat.  We undertake to respond quickly and, more importantly, honestly to all requests.

We love our flat and we will be sad to move on.  However, with two growing boys, we have outgrown available space. The flat has two bedrooms and is located on the 2nd floor in the Victorian building at 30 Grimston Gardens. Flat 6, is directly above Flat 4 on the second floor and is south facing with plenty of direct sunlight.  Flat 4 (NOW SOLD)was purchased in 1988 and has served as the family home ever since.  We bought Flat 6 in 1998 to increase our living space by inter-connecting the two flats.  Unfortunately, we never got around to it.  In recent years, Flat 6 has been used as guest accommdation and as a playroom for our young children.

Folkestone is a great place to live.  With the new high speed rail link from London St Pancras station cutting the journey time to and from the capital to 55 minutes, Folkestone residents can comfortably commute to London to work whilst enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of a traditional English seaside town.

Folkestone is also the home of Eurotunel, the tunnel link to France, and with Dover ferry terminal only 8 miles away, the town is considered to be one of the countries major gateways to continental Europe.  But Folkestone is more than just a transport hub or commuter town, it is a historic town with the famous Leas promenade, a new coastal park, long shingle beaches and a favourable climate.  For more information about the town and the local area, visit www.discoverfolkestone.co.uk
